Lockwood and Company Netflix renewal status for season 2
Official Netflix Renewal Status: pending
Our renewal expectation: 50/50
More than a month and a half after the release Lockwood and Company On Netflix, there is no word on whether or not the series will return.
As we’ve discussed before, things like completion rate, number of starters, and cost play an important role in renovations.
In case Lockwood and CompanyWe currently expect the series to most likely lean towards cancellation due to its performance compared to other titles in the genre and a significant drop in viewership from week two to week three.
If the show is renewed, we suspect it will be for a second, and finally, season.

We should note that, especially over the past year, Netflix has struggled to renew genre offerings that veer younger. In the past year, we have seen the likes cancelled Kill the firstAnd vampireAnd shortcomingsAnd midnight club, And The bastard son and the devil himself Everyone fails to make it past the first season, while Warrior Nun I couldn’t get through the third season.
Joe Cornish addresses season two in an interview with Collider’s Tamera Jones. When asked about second season opportunities and social engagement as a contributing factor to the renewal, Cornish said:
“…I’m not going to get caught up in the whole, ‘Is there/will there not be a season 2?'” We’re driving ourselves crazy. We just have to be so incredibly proud of what we’ve done. We really appreciate the fact that fans of the book are getting to see the world that was in their imagination on screen. I just want to be proud and happy for the cast, for all the amazing technicians, everyone who worked on the show. Which made it so good, and that a lot of people dig it.”
The big question is, will this trend continue into 2023 Lockwood and Company?
