Rebel Galaxy Outlaw players will spend most of their time in one of the game's 12 different ships. Each of these ships provides a particular utility. Some are built for speed, and others have larger cargo holds. Gamers will want to choose their ship based on how they want to play the game. People that enjoy engaging enemies in space will want to have at least two turrets.

Likewise, rebels that prefer flight over fight will need the speed and power to lose enemy ships. This article will cover each ship in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, which is the prequel to Rebel Galaxy, and explain the positive and negative attributes of the models. *It should be noted that the prices of each ship change as players progress through the game. Once rebels get further into a playthrough, the once unattainable ships will slowly drop in price.
12 Platypus
The Platypus will be the first ship players use in the game. It isn't the slowest or the weakest, but it does not have the power to be viable later in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw.

At some point, the Platypus will outlive its usefulness, and rebels will need to get a new ride. The Platypus has a small cargo hold and only two weapon hardpoints. Once people get a feel for the game, they will move on to a faster, stronger, or larger ship than the Platypus.
- Hull: Light
- Pros: 14 Cargo
- Cons: 0 Turret Mounts
11 Sonora
There are a lot of similarities between the Sonora and the Platypus. The Sonora is basically like the Platypus' older sister. It has slightly more space, cargo, and an extra hardpoint. More importantly, it has a medium hull and the option for a mounted turret.

Having at least one turret will be essential later in the game. For the price, there are a few better options. People should probably consider saving up more credits and getting one of the superior ships farther down on the list.

- Hull: Medium
- Pros: 22 Cargo and 3 Weapon Hardpoints
- Cons: Power Capacity
10 SandHawk
The SandHawk is the first speedcraft rebels will have the chance to acquire in the game. The SandHawk and the Blood Eagle have the highest top speed in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, clocking in at 440. These ships are also the most maneuverable in the game and can turn at 110 m/s.
As a result of the ship's size and speed, it lacks a turret mount and has a base power of just 70. Early in the game, the SandHawk is a good option for its speed alone. Don't expect to win many gunfights though.
- Hull: Light
- Pros: 440 Speed and 110 Maneuverability
- Cons: Capacity and Power

9 SPZ
The first post-launch ship to be mentioned, the SPZ is a decent ship for its price, but it is by no means a great choice. The SPZ is average to above average in every category, and the ship doesn't do anything exceptionally well.
The SPZ might be a good choice for a beginner who is still not sure how they prefer to play. Otherwise, it is not a top option and should be ignored for better ships.
- Hull: Medium
- Pros: Rank 4 Shields, and 2 Turrets
- Cons: Mediocre in every category
8 Beluga
As one might assume, the Beluga is large and slow. It has 20 cargo and travels at just 300 m/s. This ship has the second-largest hold in the game and three turret mounts, more than any other ship. While the Beluga has some noticeable upsides, it is basically a contradiction.

The ship has three turret mounts, but it is far too slow to be great in dogfights. People who enjoy fighting in space will probably want a more balanced ship.
- Hull Type: Heavy
- Pros: Max Ranks and Power Capacity
- Cons: Slow
7 Mattock
Apart from the massive power capacity, the Mattock is an average ship in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Mattocks have good hardpoints, and a considerable amount of storage, but they do not have a turret mount. This is a huge tradeoff compared to the other heavy ships available.
The Mattock may be the fastest heavy ship, but it is not fast enough to warrant its use over, for example, the Durston. Plus, it can only be purchased in Eureka.
- Hull: Heavy
- Pros: Max Ranks and Power Capacity
- Cons: 0 Turret Mounts

6 Blood Eagle
The speedy Blood Eagle has a few noticeable upgrades from the SandHawk. The ship provides one added missile hardpoint, as well as a max shield rank of 3 and a max powerplant rank of 4. However, the max cargo space of the ship is only 6.
Utilizing the Blood Eagle is not practical for most purposes. This ship is a lot of fun to use but provides much less utility than other options.
- Hull: Light
- Pros: Speed
- Cons: Capacity and Shields
5 Coyote

Players that like action and engagements will love using the Coyote. It is not quite as fast as the avian ships, but it has the most weapon hardpoints and a ton of power. Yes, it does not have turrets, but with 430 speed, pilots won't need them.

The ship has the fastest power recharge rate in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw and max level shield/powerplant ranks. Even though the cargo hold is tiny, this ship is a blast to use in combat. It absorbs damage and moves almost as fast as a Blood Eagle.
- Hull: Light
- Pros: Speed, Power Recharge, and 6 Weapon Hardpoints
- Cons: Capacity and No Turret Mount
4 Sequoia
The medium hull ship is essentially an upgraded Sonora. It has 6 more hold capacity and the potential for rank 3 shields and powerplant. These are incredible boosts that make the Sequoia a far superior ship to the Sonora. Plus, it only costs a little more. For these reasons, the Sequoia may be the best ship for the price in the game.

- Hull: Medium
- Pros: Speed and 36 Capacity
- Cons: No Turret Mount and Max Rank is 3
3 Durston
Durstons are frieght vessels. Their primary purpose is to hold and deliver goods from station to station. With a max hold of 44, the Durston has the largest carrying capacity of any ship. The heavy hull vehicle has a max rank of 4 powerplant and 4 shields as well. It may be slow, but two turrets are enough to protect rebels as they travel across the galaxy.
- Hull: Heavy
- Pros: 44 Capacity, 2 Weapon Mounts, and Level 4 Max Rank
- Cons: Slow
2 Foxbat

Players will feel like Starfox in this lightning-fast starship. The Foxbat is the only ship in the game that travels at 400 m/s and has a mounted turret. It is essentially a Coyote with extra firepower. The Foxbat had to be included at the bottom of this list because of how incredible it is in battle.

The ship has 5 weapon hardpoints, which is the highest in the class. Even though Foxbats are impractical and have no storage, they are dominant in chaotic engagements.
- Hull: Medium
- Pros: Speed, Mounted Turret, and Max Recharge Rate
- Cons: Capacity and Shields
1 Dingo
✕ Remove Ads
The Dingo is the most balanced lightship in the game. It is maneuverable, has great defensive traits, and can store plenty of cargo with a max hold of 18. The ship will not dominate offensively, but it has max shields/power station ranks. Additionally, it recharges power at the fastest rate. Players that like speed will have a much more reliable ship if they choose the Dingo.
- Hull: Light
- Pros: Speed
- Cons: Capacity and Shields
